    Five killed in Bihar as car falls into deep gorge

    Five youths were killed here on Sunday when their car skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge, a police official said.

    According to Aurangabad Deputy SP Gautam Sharan Omi, the deceased, all in the age group of 18-19 years, were residents of Chhatarpur in adjoining Jharkhand. They were returning home after attending a wedding in Nabinagar block of Aurangabad. Two other occupants of the car have survived and were undergoing treatment at a hospital for injuries, said the official.

    India registers protest over ‘brutal killing’ of Sikh traders in Pak

    India on Sunday called upon Pakistan to take strict action against those responsible for the brutal killing of Sikh traders in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, news agency ANI reported.

    Two Sikh shopkeepers were gunned down by unidentified assailants in the Bata Tal bazaar in Peshawar. Media reports said the assailants escaped after the target killing.

    Assam floods: 3 people dead due to landslides, reports ANI

    Around 25,000 people across six districts of Assam have been affected by the first wave of floods in the state this year. Three people including a woman died in landslide incidents in Haflong area in Dima Hasao district on Saturday.

    Assam State Disaster Management Authority today afternoon informed that “Till now, a total of 24,681 people of 94 villages in six districts – Cachar, Dhemaji, Hojai, Karbi Anglong West, Nagaon and Kamrup (Metro) have been affected due to floods.”

Mother of cow slaughter suspect Abdul Rehman killed during raid in U.P.’s Siddharthnagar

2 houses which developed cracks during construction of East West Metro, to be demolished

The incident brought back memories of August 2019 when several houses developed cracks after the tunnel boring machines used in the metro construction accidentally hit an undetected aquifer beneath Durga Pituri Lane. On September 3 that year, three buildings that were vacated eventually collapsed.

4 school staffers accused of luring people to convert, booked for promoting enmity

Biplab Deb’s removal brings Tripura BJP’s internal rift out in the open
