    12 killed in explosion in Afghanistan’s Herat city

    At least 12 people were killed and 25 others were injured in an explosion in Afghanistan’s Herat city on Friday. 

    “The death toll of the blast in PD 12 of Herat city has risen to 12, with 25 wounded, provincial health officials said, saying the explosives were buried in a sports field and triggered as young people were playing,” a report by TOLO news said. 

    No one has claimed responsibility for the explosion.

MHA body issues norms for crypto-related crimes

Law enforcement agencies must have their own crypto wallet to store seized virtual digital assets, and they need for liaise with crypto exchanges to block a suspect’s wallet or resetting the keys to defuse transactions in an ongoing investigation, the guidelines by the Bureau of Police Research Development (BPRD), a think tank under the home ministry, said in its guidelines.

CBI may take help from forensic psychologists in Birbhum massacre case

The central agency has recovered two vehicles which villagers alleged were used to transport bombs and petrol to the crime spot at Bogtui village on March 21. The petrol was allegedly used to burn the victims alive.

Raj: Curfew in Karauli after 35 hurt in communal clashes, 600 cops deployed

  • Communal tension broke out following stone-pelting at a ‘Shobha Yatra’ (motorcycle rally) that passed through a Muslim-dominated area, on the first day of the new year under the Hindu calendar on Saturday. A few shops were set afire during the clashes.

Congress councillor’s brother arrested for his murder in West Bengal

Two newly elected municipal councillors — Tapan Kandu, a Congress councillor from Purulia and Anupam Dutta, a Trinamool Congress councillor from North 24 Parganas – were murdered on March 13, triggering a political storm in West Bengal.

India, Nepal launch cross-border rail link, Deuba urges Modi to resolve border dispute

Nepal signed a framework agreement to join the India-led International Solar Alliance, and the two sides signed three more pacts – a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on enhancing technical cooperation in the railways sector, and two agreements between Indian Oil Corporation and Nepal Oil Corporation for the supply of petroleum products for five years and for sharing of technical expertise.
